Proposal
The Visual Communications Course consisted of one project to be completed over the course of the entire quarter (10 weeks). Each designer was introduced first with the task of creating an entire festival from scratch. Starting with the name, the location, and logo; we were instructed to relate the logo to the location where each festival was chosen to be held.
This project concept was super exciting for me as I always thrive at design projects when I am invested in the material. I dove right into mind maps of rock history (my chosen genre) and the possible locations that would then inspire the name and logo.
Outline
Genre: Contemporary Tribute to Classic Rock

COBRANDING
Co-branding consists of companies coming together in order to benefit from collaboration. In this case, we were tasked with creating potential co-branding logos for merchandise, food, and beverages that could be featured at the festival. I went for energy drinks (Reign Total Body Fuel) and a local beer company (Oak Creek Brewing Co.) in order to convey the energetic atmosphere of the festival and push for supporting the local companies.
The clothing would come from Nike with different logo variations and clothing types to keep up with the concept that the festival is very upbeat, physical, and active. The logos are the most important part, and they were changed to keep both original brands recognizable while still creating a seamless fusion between the two. Free mock-ups were used to apply the logos to potential merchandise.
